I decided to try my hand at making an ice over and shatter effect for the axe pin mechanics in the game. Lacking any real practical experience with effects or breakables I did the best I could across all of the instances this is used in. My initial hope was to have unique treatments on certain things that would expand and grow/ground the effect, but timing ruled this one out. Thanks to Max Ancar for providing some particle systems and guidance on this, and Ruben Morales for showing me the ropes of basic breakables.
